Although we've thoroughly enjoyed spring-like temperatures for the past seven days, we keep looking over our shoulders for that inevitable cold blast that will break the spell. The good news is that our dreamy weather will continue for a few more days before the mercury tumbles from the sixties into the forties on Wednesday. The rain that seemed poised to complicate the end of the holiday weekend now looks less threatening for the near term: while showers will run parallel to the Alleghenies, no precipitation is likely here until late Monday night into Tuesday when a cut-off low pressure system spins its way up the east coast. Until then, partly to mostly cloudy skies, and yes, yet more sixty degree readings will prolong this November reverie.
NOTE: The coming week is a transitional one as this year's active hurricane season ends on Wednesday, November 30th and on Thursday, December 1st the winter season begins - unofficially, but meteorologically. Although the official kickoff to winter is over three weeks away, the colder air at midweek and all the holiday decorations will convince you otherwise! Enjoy your Sunday.
