Turn the clocks back 1 hour tomorrow night before going to bed….we return to Standard Time early Sunday morning….enjoy the extra hour of sleep.
Today’s gusty winds are being caused by a storm system moving across eastern NC and a building area of high pressure to the north. The winds are clearing the skies, as somewhat drier and cooler air is being pulled into the region. As winds subside tonight, temperatures will fall through the 30s. High pressure will dominate the weather pattern for the next 4 or 5 days. The result will be partly to mostly sunny days and clear and chilly nights. High temperatures will only be in the upper 40s to lower 50s tomorrow… that’s well below average. But a warming trend will begin on Sunday and by Tuesday and Wednesday, high temperatures will climb into the middle 60s.
