Thanksgiving was perfect, and today will be just as nice but even warmer. It sounds like the perfect day to get outside and work off that second helping of turkey.

Friday: Sunny & Warm

Highs: 63-70 | Wind: S 2-6

Tonight: Clear

Lows: 37-44 | Wind: Light/Variable

Saturday: High, Thin Clouds & Warm

Highs: 63-70 | Wind: S 2-6

We're in the middle of a pleasant stretch of weather with another day of total sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures (avg. high at DCA is 54).  Expect highs well into the 60s and even approaching 70 degrees south of the metro area especially around Culpeper, Fredericksburg, and southern Maryland.  A solid high pressure system is to thank for the clear and comfortable conditions.  Saturday will be just as warm and pleasant, but some high, thin clouds are anticipated.

Our weather pattern will begin to shift on Sunday when we're expecting added clouds and even a few showers are possible for the second half of the day.  The rain chances increase into Sunday night as showers linger into Monday morning.  There is a lot of uncertainty regarding rain chances next week, but one thing does look fairly certain, and that's temperatures with highs closer to 50 degrees, so cooler air is on the move and will arrive in time to head back to work or school.  The overall weather pattern looks rather unsettled for the first half of the week with rain chances throughout, but I want to stress the uncertainty.  The extent of the rain chances is what we will closely monitor and update accordingly.
