Plenty of clouds will stream overhead today ahead of a frontal system that is bringing plenty of rain to the Mississippi Valley. Highs should reach around the 60 degree mark. Tonight, a few isolated showers will be possible with lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Tuesday will continue to have a chance for showers with highs again around the 60 degree mark.
This frontal zone looks like it will hang around through the day on Wednesday before the main energy finally slides to the east on Thursday. Wednesday will be cooler with highs only in the lower 50s with another chance for showers. As the energy slides through Wednesday night into Thursday morning, a little cooler air may filter in overhead allowing for a few wet snowflakes. We will be looking at this closely as it could have an effect on your Thursday morning commute. Just keep that in the back of your mind.
Beyond that, skies should clear out by Thursday afternoon. Friday through the weekend looks sunny and cold with highs in the 40s.
