Unseasonably mild weather will continue for one more day. A cold front will not only bring more December-like air to the region but also periods of rain. A few showers are possible overnight. During the day tomorrow and again on Wednesday we will see several waves of low pressure move along the cold front as it steadily pushes from west to east across the area. Many parts of the region will receive close to one inch or rain.
Some computer models are suggesting the possibility of a little winter weather on the back end of this system as it exits late Wednesday night. The most likely outcome is for the rain to end before sunrise on Thursday morning. But we cannot rule out the possibility of the rain changing to snow in some areas before ending. Gradual clearing and colder weather will develop during the day Thursday. Sunny and chilly weather is forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
