D.C forecast: Mild today, colder and breezy tomorrow

A mild Thursday will give way to scattered showers and a cold front later today and much cooler air tomorrow.

This Afternoon: Mostly Cloudy, Scattered Showers

Highs: 55°-63° | Wind: South 15-20 mph +

Overnight: Showers Diminish, Cool and Breezy

Lows: 30s/40s | Wind: W/NW 10-20

Friday: Partly Cloudy, Cool and Breezy

Highs: 47°-52° | Wind: NW 10-20

High pressure will move away from the mid-Atlantic as a frontal system approaches from the west. Clouds will increase with a chance for showers later this afternoon and into the evening. With a push of milder air ahead of the front, highs will jump well into the upper 50s to lower 60s.

The front will pass during the overnight hours and lows will settle into the 30s and 40s. Breezy conditions will remain into Friday with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
