An area of low pressure will slide by to our south as it rides along a stalled cold front later today and tonight. Much like yesterday sunshine this morning will give way to increasing cloudiness by this afternoon with temperatures steady or falling slightly especially this afternoon. Winds will be the bigger weather story today sustained out of the NNW at 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30-35 mph. We will be on the northern periphery of this low and we could see a little rain and a few wet snow flakes as far north as D.C. but mainly south of town overnight. Partly cloudy skies will be in place for the day Saturday with seasonably cool daytime highs in the mid-40s. An upper level disturbance will swing by Sunday and may act to produce some additional clouds and perhaps even a few flurries with highs again in the mid-40s. The next storm system to impact the region is currently scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
~ Have a good day!
