Temperatures climbed into the 50s Friday and this mild air will hang around through New Year’s Day. A minor frontal system will cross the region before sunrise. This will increase cloudiness and produce a few showers before sunrise tomorrow morning. During the day tomorrow, skies will turn partly cloudy. It will become breezy by midday with temperatures climbing to the upper 50s. New Year’s Day will be breezy and mild once more with plenty of sunshine.
Big changes on Sunday night as a strong cold front reaches our area. By Monday, it will be windy and much colder with highs in the lower 40s and by Tuesday, the core of colder air will be overhead. This will keep Tuesday’s high temperature limited to only the lower 30s. A slow but steady warming trend will begin on Thursday.
