It was a chilly morning, but temperatures are running near average for this time of year with highs reaching the mid 40s this afternoon. A brief warming trend is in the works for the holiday weekend with warmer mornings and afternoons in the low to mid 50s. However, it still looks as though a big shift in our weather pattern will occur early next week with the coldest air yet this season working it's way into Washington. We could be facing high temperatures in the 30s by Tuesday with gusty winds. It's something we will monitor and update accordingly. As for precipitation chances, we aren't looking at anything significant as of now, and just an isolated sprinkle is possible Friday night but is nothing to worry about.
