Tonight: Mostly Cloudy, Not as Cold

Monday: Partly Sunny, Seasonably Mild

Yesterday was such a delightful December day that it bears repeating - and Mother Nature is ready to deliver! With plenty of sunshine filtering through thin cirrus clouds, light winds, and highs around 50, Saturday was yet another pleasant day in a long line of such days dating back two weeks.  The last four days have all been in the 50s while the ten days before that were all in the 60s and 70s; the last truly chilly day was November 18th when the high was a mere 48 degrees. Our current benefactor, a high pressure system,  will slowly drift  to our east over the next 24 to 48 hours to be replaced by a low and a period of showers late Monday through early Wednesday.  Before that happens, look for another mild day on Monday with a high around 60; thereafter, daytime highs will begin to plummet from the upper 50s on Tuesday to the mid 40s by Thursday and Friday.  The rain on Tuesday could be substantial, from 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch, and while there will plenty of cold air to our north, the chances of any of our precipitation coming down as snow are minimal.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  If all the subsequent winter weekends are as agreeable as this first one, it will be a great season indeed.  We can only hope!
