There's a feel of spring in the air on this first, official day of winter.

This Afternoon: Increasing cloudiness

Highs: around 60 degrees | Wind: Light

Tonight: Rain developing...heavy at times

Temperatures: 40s/50s | Wind: East 5-10 mph

The fog south of the metro area will lift and most areas will see some sunshine for a while today along with very mild temperatures. But another storm system is heading our way. Clouds will increase later today and rain will be spreading from south to north after 6 pm. The rain will be heavy at times tonight…around 1” of rain may fall before it ends before sunrise tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow…it looks great…partly cloudy and mild with highs around 50 degrees. The weekend looks great, too. We are calling for partly cloudy skies on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and here’s my gift to you….it’s looking less and less likely there will be any rain on Christmas Day. Ho Ho Ho !!!
