Tonight: Rain, Heavy Late at Night

Lows: 45-50 | Rain: 100% chance 1" by dawn

Friday: Partly to Mostly Cloudy, Breezy and Cooler

Highs: 47-52 | Wind: NW 10-20 Gusty

This Weekend: Generally Sunny and Seasonable Storminess staying south

Highs: 45-50 | Wind: Light-Good travel Saturday

The storm bringing tonight's rain is in Tennessee and moving rapidly northeast. This will certainly be another rain producer and late tonight as the center of the storm is close to us, it's even possible there could be a rumble of thunder. What a December! Still looks like 1 to 2 inches of rain toward D.C. north and west. Following the storm some cooler air, if still not real cold comes in on gusty winds tomorrow and everything still looks fine for Saturday. A Christmas Day storm, which may develop in the south, still looks like it will stay south. But Christmas Day will at least feel like December rather than October. Happy Holidays and Good Cheer.
