After a rainy morning, many areas enjoyed some sunshine and warmer temperatures. This is all ahead of a cold front that will cross the area later tonight. Another round of showers…some possibly heavy, could accompany the front as it rolls through the region. Gusty southerly winds warmed many areas into the 50s today. After the front passes tonight, gusty west and northwesterly winds will usher in much colder air. We expect a partly cloudy, breezy and chilly day tomorrow.
More clouds than sunshine is forecast for Thursday as a trough of low pressure approaches. This could produce some flurries later on Thursday. While Friday may start with sunshine, more clouds will move in during the afternoon ahead of the next system. That complex system may set us up for a wintry mix in some areas late Friday night and Saturday morning. During the day Saturday, precipitation will turn to a cold rain with high temperatures remaining in the upper 30s. if you like todays mild temperatures…just wait. They will return next week.
