Coldest air of the Winter will settle into the region this week

The coldest air since February 22nd of 2011 will filter into the region tomorrow and Wednesday.

This Afternoon: Partly Cloudy, Breezy and Cool

Highs: Low 40s | Wind: NW 10-20 m.p.h.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy, Cold and Breezy

Lows: 20s | Wind Chill: Single digits and teens

Tuesday: Partly Cloudy, Breezy and Cold

Highs: Low 30s | Wind Chill: Teens

A potent cold front passed through the region yesterday and cold air will continue to filter in behind it today and tomorrow. High temperatures today will only reach the low to mid 40s under partly cloudy skies. A few flurries are not out of the question especially in higher elevations. Tonight will be partly cloudy and cold with lows in the 20s.

Tuesday will see the coldest air of the winter thus far with highs only in the lower 30s. Winds will also make it feel like it is in the teens for much of the day. Winds will diminish on Wednesday but it will still be cold with highs in the mid 30s. Thursday will be slightly warmer with highs back in the low to mid 40s. The next chance for rain appears to be on Sunday.
