Keep that umbrella by your side as you make your way around the area today, as Doug Hill says that this morning's rain will continue through the mid-afternoon.
Today: A.M. Periods of rain/ P.M. Some sunshine and warmer
Highs: 56°-62° | Wind: SW 10-15
Overnight: Gradual clearing and colder
Lows: 30s | Wind: SW/W 10
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy, breezy and much colder
Highs: 38°-42° | Wind: W/NW 10-20+
The areas of rain will continue through mid-day across the region as warm, moist air is being pushed northward ahead of a cold front nearing the Ohio Valley.
Right now, it appears we could see breaks of sunshine develop through the afternoon. This, combined with increasing southwesterly winds will push temperatures into the upper 50s to lower 60s later today. When the cold front crosses the area later this evening, it may be accompanied by a narrow band of showers. Clearing and colder weather will develop overnight as the winds turn more to the west and northwest.
Partly cloudy, breezy and colder weather is on the way tomorrow and Thursday. A few snow flurries are possible Thursday afternoon when an upper level disturbance passes by.
Dry and chilly weather is forecast for Friday. The next chance of precipitation will be on Saturday. Rain or even a wintry mix in some areas is not out of the question.
