Tonight: Areas of Rain, Warm

Lows: 50s to Near 60 | Wind: S 10 m.p.h.

Friday: Morning Rain, Afternoon Clearing, Gusty

Highs: Around 60 | Wind: NW 15-25 m.p.h.

Saturday: Partly Cloudy, Mild

Highs: Low 50s | Wind: W 5-10 m.p.h.

As a warm front continues to push through the mid-Atlantic this evening, we will experience rising nighttime temperatures. We will also see some rain. Of course, I said that last night about today. Most of the rain is along and north of the warm front. Our rain will come from the near approach of an area of low pressure and its associated cold front. Scattered showers are possible tonight but the most likely time for rain will be during the overnight. As the cold front crosses the area early tomorrow morning, I expect to see scattered showers and gusty winds and very mild temperatures. During the day tomorrow, the gusty winds will bring in some drier and colder air and skies will clear. Much colder air will arrive tomorrow night. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Saturday with highs around 50 degrees. Another push of colder air will arrive on Sunday. This may produce a few flurries. The seasonably cold air will last through Monday….then another modest warming trend will begin.
