The preview of spring temperatures will continue through Friday. A rather unsettled pattern will keep us quite mild for a while longer but a number of smaller features will keep us under a variable cloud cover. Gusty breezes will continue at times, as well. An area of low pressure will pass through the region tonight providing a chance of a few showers in areas mainly north and west of Washington. We can’t rule out a sprinkle tomorrow but most areas should remain dry and mild.
On Friday, a strong cold front will approach and then pass through the area. Gusty winds, scattered showers and mild temperatures will highlight our Friday forecast. By Saturday, a new area of high pressure will be building into the Mid-Atlantic. It will be partly cloudy, breezy, and much cooler. Despite a full day of sunshine on Sunday, temperatures will remain slightly below average. The new warming trend begins on Monday.
