HIGH WIND WATCH in effect tomorrow for Frederick County and points westward in MD, for Loudoun, Fauquier and points westward in VA
A strong cold front is on the way. But before it arrives we will have a few showers late tonight and tomorrow morning. But what is so significant abouth the forecast is the strong winds that will be developing and VERY warm temperatures that will precede the front. Because the ground is so dry and the winds will be so strong there is a real concern for brush fires tomorrow and for winds that could pose a hazard. Within the HIGH WIND WATCH AREA, gusts could approach 60 mph. Most or all of the watch area may be upgraded to a HIGH WIND WARNING early tomorrow morning.
Much colder air will arrive with gusty winds on Saturday. Sunday will be sunny but quite chilly. By Monday, another warming trend will begin.
