After the morning clouds and showers, sunshine prevailed for most of the day with temperatures climbing well into the 50s. As high pressure dominates for the next few days, I expect to see more pleasant February weather. Temperatures will drop into the 30s tonight. Mostly sunny weather is forecast tomorrow across the region with temperatures not too far from the 50 degrees mark. Partly sunny skies are anticipated on Saturday and Sunday. During the day on Sunday a storm system will pass well south of Washington. There is a slight chance for a few showers on the north side of the system to work their towards Southern Maryland and adjacent parts of Virginia.
