March is usually a month for all seasons, but not this year. With only 5 days of below average temperatures and no snow, spring and summer vied for the season du jour. Yesterday was one of the few chilly days this month; with a high of just 54 at Reagan Nation, it was the coolest day since back on the 10th when the high was 50. The month ends today with projected highs in the mid 60s which will make it yet again an above average day.
Morning showers. associated with a warm front and a low pressure system, have yielded to mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid to upper 60s. Some peeks of sunshine are likely this afternoon in the wake of a cold front . Look for partly cloudy skies and somewhat chilly temperatures overnight - in the low 40s - as yet another front brings in high pressure; a mostly sunny and seasonably mild Sunday with highs again in the mid to upper 60s should bring a pleasant end to the weekend.
Just as March went against type, let's see if April fools us as well: with few opportunities for its trademark showers next week, it too is starting out as a rogue month! Enjoy your Saturday.
