D.C. forecast: foggy start, clearing by mid-morning
This Afternoon: Turning Partly Cloudy
Highs: 74°-79° | Wind: South 5-10 mph
Overnight: Areas of Fog
Lows: 50s | Wind: Light
Friday: Mostly to Partly Sunny
Highs: 80°-85° | Wind: South 5-10 mph
Expect visibilities around and below 1/4 of a mile through 10am this morning due to the thick fog. I am anticipating some sunshine, but we'll have to be patient as the fog and low clouds will be slow to burn off. Becoming partly cloudy this afternoon with warm highs in the upper 70s, but that's sunshine dependent. Where the clouds linger, it'll be a little cooler. Tomorrow will feature some patchy fog then mostly sunny conditions with highs in the lower 80s, which is well above avg. for this time of year but well below the record of 93 (1907).
Unsettled weather is on the way this weekend with a cut-off upper level low creeping overhead. Expect limited sunshine, off and on showers/storms and cooler temperatures with highs in the 60s. High temperatures should remain in the 60 degree range next week.
