Some moderate to heavy snow fell across portions of Central Virginia this morning as an area of low pressure moved over the region. Skies will become partly sunny the rest of the afternoon before clearing tonight. Clear skies and light winds will lead to cold temperatures tonight with lows in the 20s in the suburbs to near 30 degrees inside the Beltway.
Tuesday and Wednesday will feature sunny skies and warming temperatures. Highs should reach the 50 degree mark tomorrow and the lower 60s Wednesday. Thursday should be the warmest day of the week with highs in the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies. A cold front will push into the region on Friday bringing the chance for a few showers and cooler temperatures back in the 50s. High pressure should filter back overhead for the weekend with highs in the low to mid 50s.
