A breezy, beautiful Easter weekend

Look for plenty of sunshine, highs in the lower 60s, and gusty winds as high pressure keeps us comfortable but a bit too dry: low humidity has prompted a Red Flag Warning for increased fire risk.

This Afternoon: Sunny, Breezy, & Seasonable

Highs: 62-65 | Wind: NW 10-20

Tonight: Clear & Chilly

Lows: 35-42 | Wind: NW 10-15

Sunday: Mostly Sunny, Breezy, Milder

Highs: 67-72 | Wind: W 15-25

Save for some gusty winds and elevated pollen counts, an "eggs"cellent Easter weekend is on tap!  The perfectly clear skies of late,  provided by an extensive high pressure system, will continue today with highs in the lower 60s and northwesterly winds gusting to 25 mph.  A  Red Flag Warning is in effect for much of the area from 10 AM until 8 PM;  low fuel moisture, very dry air, and strong winds have raised the risk of fires.  With the rainfall deficit at Reagan National nearing 4 inches for the year, additional Fire Weather Watches and Red Flag Warnings are likely.

Easter Sunday promises to be almost as sunny as today and even a bit milder with highs near 70.  Gusty winds will continue out of the west up to 25 mph.  Easter Monday could show the effects of a passing front with partly sunny skies and the chance of some showers; with the air so dry, however, the rain chances are low.  A low pressure system over Canada will likely give us cool and somewhat unsettled wesather at midweek before high pressure returns at week's end.  High temperatures throughout the week should be in the upper 50s.  Enjoy what should be an "eggs"ceptional holiday weekend!
