Dry and warmer day ahead with much needed rain in sight
TODAY: Early Clouds Give Way to Sun, Warmer

The light showers yesterday did help squash the pollen; however they hardly put a dent into our rain deficit. While Reagan National picked up a paltry .05”, other located fared better like Dulles with .25” and Martinsburg at .33”. The average was around ¼ of an inch but we are down 5”+ so it will take a soaking rain to help – which may be on the way for Sunday!
Today expect morning clouds and fog to give way to ample afternoon sun as the mercury climbs to near 70°. Even milder air slide in tomorrow with highs into the middle 70s under a partly to mostly sunny skies. Our weekend rain producer approaches Saturday so a few late showers or storms are possible, but I would still plan on it being your “outside day” but Sunday looks to be wet. Have a great day!
Tree pollen dropped significantly to 634 (still high) but grasses were smashed back to the low category.
