High pressure will be in charge of our weather from this Good Friday through Easter Sunday. Sunny skies will be overhead today as temperatures rebound back to around 60 degrees this afternoon. Winds will be gusty, sustained out of the north at 15-20mph with gusts of 25-30. Another beautiful moonlit sky tonight however with blustery northerly winds and clear skies it will be cold with lows in the 30s. All areas north and west of town will be under a Freeze Warning from 2AM until 9AM Saturday. This means that sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely and that residents should take precautions to protect plants or crops. Saturday winds will remain gusty with mostly sunny skies overhead and highs that will be a bit warmer in the low to mid 60s. Easter Sunday will start off rather chilly for those heading out for sunrise service with temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s. Sunshine will be in place during the morning with additional high and mid-level clouds mixing in by the late afternoon and evening in advance of our next storm system. Unsettled weather looks likely for early next week with rather low chances of rain. We do need some rainfall as we are currently -0.41” in deficit for the month to date and -2.87” in deficit since March 1st.
~ Have a good day!
