The main area of rain associated with the warm front continues to move south and east away from the metro area. There could be a few, brief, sunny breaks developing before the thicker clouds, showers and thunderstorms asscoiated with the cold front move in later this afternoon. High pressure will build back into the area tonight with clearing skies and gusty winds. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny and quite breezy with highs in the middle 60s.
On Saturday, an area of low pressure will move south of the area. This will keep skies mostly cloudy, keep chilly northerly winds in place and produce occasional rain throughout the region. As that system moves off the east coast Sunday morning, the rain will follow suit. Sunshine will develop through the day on Sunday with temperatures climbing back into the 60s.
Sunny and warmer conditions will return early next week.
