It will likely stay a mostly cloudy April Fools Day with peeks of sunshine and seasonably cool temperatures in the low to mid 60s.

This Afternoon: Mostly Cloudy, Cool

Highs: 60-65 | Wind: SW 10-15

Tonight: Cloudy, Chance of Showers

Lows: 42-47 | Wind: SW 5-10

Monday: Mostly Sunny, Still Cool

Highs: 58-64 | Wind: N 10-15

Mother Nature doled out her sunshine sparingly on Saturday and she looks to be even stingier today!  Mostly cloudy skies will again be the theme of the day with relatively cool, but seasonable temperatures in the low to mid 60s.  The high at Reagan National yesterday reached 64, making for yet another above average reading as an unrecognizable March came to an end.  The average monthly temperature was 56.8, a full 10 degrees above the norm.  In a month that often sizzled, there were ten 70 degree days and four in the 80s.

As a cold front approaches later today, look for the potential for showers in the overnight hours.  A shift in the winds will usher in Monday as mostly sunny skies, but still cool readings in the low 60s are expected.  Tuesday and Wednesday should be the mildest of the days leading up to Easter with highs near 70.  Showers are possible late Tuesday into Wednesday.  And while skies will be mostly sunny at week's end, the outlook is for temperatures in the cool lower 60s: that's exactly where we should be, but March has left us wanting more!  Enoy your Sunday.
