Showers will continue this evening before ending tonight. Pleasant conditions are expected through the rest of the week.

Overnight: Mostly Cloudy & Cool

Lows: Mid 40s to Low 50s | Wind: NE 5 m.p.h.

Thursday: Morning Clouds, Sunny Afternoon

Highs: Around 70 | Wind: SE 4-8 m.p.h.

Friday: Partly Cloudy & Warmer

Highs: Upper 70s | Wind: S 5-10 m.p.h.

Well, it won’t end the drought or even put much of a dent in it but today’s rain will give us a temporary break from the high pollen levels. Periods of mostly light rain will continue through tonight as an area of low pressure slows moves away from our area. High pressure will return tomorrow with increasing sunshine and somewhat warmer temperatures. Sunny and warm weather will prevail on Friday…it will be beautiful.

Changes are coming for the weekend. We are forecasting a partly sunny day on Saturday but by mid- afternoon, cloudiness will increase and there’s a 40% chance we’ll see scattered showers and thunderstorms…not a wash-out of a day. On Sunday, however, the next cold front and its attendant area of low pressure will not only bring more rain but perhaps some beneficial rain. Right now, it appears the rain or chance of rain will continue through mid-day Monday. Still too early to nail down the timing of the rain ending on Monday. We will refine the forecast every day as the system becomes better defined and the models getting a better handle on likely effects on the region.
