The weather of the last 24 hours an example of "microscale" weather events. In DC 0.04" of rain while 20-30 miles west there was 2-4"+ rain late at night and many flooded roads and rescues early in the morning. Streams are high in many parts of Prince William, Fauquier and Loudoun Counties and flood warnings continue for the possibility of more slow moving showers or thundershowers this afternoon and evening. This moist unstable pattern will continue into tomorrow and then as we head toward the big Memorial Day weekend finally lift out. The weekend still looks like a real taste of summer with sunny skies and hot humid air over us. Keep an eye on live Doppler for more showers and any more warnings
