Easterly flow during the overnight hours will keep a marine layer across some of the D.C. area. Clouds will ease slightly toward the Shenandoah Valley, where partly cloudy skies are expected. Overnight lows will generally be in the 50s with a few sprinkles lasting until Sunday morning.
The end of the weekend will be mostly cloudy with highs in the lower 70s. Clouds will thicken late Monday as an approaching system brings a better chance for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday. High pressure will build by the end of the week allowing for a dramatic warming trend.
