A slow moving cold front is the key player in our forecast today and tomorrow. A few periods of sunshine will brighten skies today but skies will darken later as that cold front produces showers and scattered thunderstorms. It will be quite breezy and warm with highs climbing well into the 70s. Occasional showers and thunderstorms are forecast for tonight. We will still be affected by the slow moving front tomorrow with another day of considerable cloudiness and occasional showers and thunderstorms. The front, its clouds and showers included, will pass east of our area late tomorrow night.

Cooler, drier and sunnier conditions will develop on Thursday and Friday as a new area of high pressure builds into the region. Mostly sunny and warmer weather arrives on Saturday. For Mother's Day, skies will be partly sunny and temperatures will return to the 70s during the afternoon.
