Summer weather for the unofficial start of the summer season
Friday: Becoming partly sunny, warm with isolated pm t-storms west
Highs: 81°-86° | Wind: SE 5-10 ymph
Overnight: Warm and muggy with patchy fog
Lows: 65°-71° | Wind: S 5 mph or less
Saturday: Becoming mostly sunny, hot and humid
Highs: 87°-92° | Wind: SE 5 mph
As high pressure builds into our area for the Memorial Day Weekend, the heat and humidity will build, as well. It looks like we are going to have weather comditions more appropriate for the Fourth of July. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny with highs around 90 tomorrow and into the lower 90s on Sunday and Monday. There is a very slight chance for an isolated afternoon thunderstorm west of Washington Saturday and Sunday and a 30% chance, area-wide, on Monday afternoon. The combination of high temperatures, high dew points and abundant sunshine will be uncomfortable for those intolerant of tropical conditions. Plan your outdoor activities with weather conditions in mind.
