Conditions will be very nice over the next 24 hours with humidity levels continuing to fall and cooler temperatures filtering into the region. This afternoon will see clearing skies with highs around the lower 80s. Dew points in the 70s yesterday will fall into the 50s this afternoon meaning much lower levels of moisture across the region and plenty of comfort. Tonight will be cooler and comfortable with lows in the 50s in the suburbs to mid 60s under mostly clear skies. Thursday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs around 80 degrees.
There is already a SLIGHT RISK for severe storms through the day on Friday. At this point we think storms will occur in the afternoon hours. As of now, the threat will be there for a few strong storms with damaging winds but there is also an outside possibility for a few tornadoes as there appears to be plenty of shear in the atmosphere. We will keep you updated on this as we head through the day tomorrow to let you know just how serious the threat is.
The weekend will feature partly cloudy and comfortable conditions Saturday with highs in the upper 70s. Sunday will have the chance for a few showers or thunderstorms as an upper-level low pressure system slides overhead.
