A weather front to our west  and broad area of low pressure in North Carolina are bringing some needed rains to our area.  The first area of rain is now moving to the north and for much of the afternoon it will just be cloudy and a bit muggy in the DC area.  Overnight as the low moves north and the weather front swings through showers return and possibly even the rumble of thunder.  Drier air begins to push in by tomorrow noon and then back to sunshine into the middle of the week.  Some places, especially west of DC, will see about 1" of needed rain.  Enjoy the rain
