D.C. Weather Forecast: More showers on the way

TODAY: Lingering Showers S&E, Peeks of Sun with Rain by the PM Commute

Highs: 72°-78° | Wind: W 5-10

OVERNIGHT: Rain Tapers, Partly Cloudy

Lows: 51°-57° | Wind: NW 4-8

TOMORROW: Clearing Skies, Gusty Breezes, Less Humid

Highs: 68°-72° | Wind: NW 15-25+

Showers linger south and east of the city through the mid-morning while the sun is peeking thourgh the clouds west of town.  Mostly cloudy skies will be the order of the day with more showers and a storm or two especially later this afternoon and into the evening. Highs once again will peak in the mid 70s. Overnight, rain tapers by dawn giving way to a drier pattern beginning tomorrow. Expect clouds to break for sun with a cool northwesterly breeze and highs only near 70° for Thursday. We continue to receive ample sun into the upcoming weekend with temperatures moderating from the mid 70s Friday into the upper 70s by Mother’s Day on Sunday.
