Showers will continue overnight, but no severe weather is expected.

Tonight: Lingering Showers

Lows: 70s | Wind: NW 5 m.p.h.

Wednesday: Partly Cloudy & Warm

Highs: Mid 80s | Wind: SE 4-8 m.p.h.

Thursday: Sunny & Comfortable

Highs: Around 80 | Wind: NW 5-10 m.p.h.

Showers will continue overnight, but no severe weather is expected.  Watch out on the roadways, though, for localized flooding with the heavy rain that fell earlier tonight. The cold front is still off to our West, but will eventually slide through tomorrow and slowly drop temperatures and humidity.

By early tomorrow morning, most of the rain will be over (maybe a few showers in Southern Maryland). High pressure will deliver slightly drier air for tomorrow afternoon and cooler and even drier air will move into the area on Thursday.  Another weather disturbance will likely cause more shower and thunderstorm activity late Friday afternoon, Friday night and Saturday morning. Skies will clear Saturday afternoon and on Sunday we are forecasting partly cloudy and pleasant conditions.
