A hot Memorial Day on tap as daytime highs climb to around 90 degrees under partly to mostly sunny skies. When you factor in the humidity it will feel like it’s in the mid-90s. Since this is the first stretch of Summer-like heat and we are not yet acclimated residents need to take extra precautions to be safe. Reschedule strenuous outdoor activities to either the early morning or late afternoon. Additionally, drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated and find ways to stay cool either via a pool or AC. There is a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon so keep an eye to the sky and seek shelter until the storm passes. There is a higher threat of showers and storms with a cold front Tuesday into Wednesday AM. Cooler and less humid air will return to round out the week with another system bringing the threat of showers and storms by Friday.
~ Have a good day!
