Showers and isolated thunderstorms accompanied a cold front as it moved through the area early this morning. Behind the front, skies will become partly sunny. And it will become breezy and warmer this afternoon. During the next few days, that cold front will do an about face and move northward as a warm front...only to be replaced by another cold front. The net result will be a very warm and unsettled strecth of weather for the rest of the week. Skies will be partly cloudy with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms everyday through Saturday. Daily high temperatures will be in the 80s but on Friday, just ahead of the next cold front, temperatures could climb close to 90 degrees.

Cooler and less humid air will return on Sunday. Right now, our forecast calls for partly to mostly sunny skies on Sunday with highs in the upper 70s. Want to guess the first day it will hit 90 at Reagan National? Send your guess to
