After several days of below average temperatures, big changes are on the way! A few showers will dot radar overnight as temperatures fall into the upper 50s and 60s. A few showers will pop again on Monday, mainly west of DC with highs approaching 80 degrees.
High pressure will pump hot and humid air across the area starting Tuesday. Highs should approach 90 degrees with increased humidity and dew point temperatures. Wednesday and Thursday will be scorchers with highs in the middle to upper 90s. Head index readings may exceed 100 degrees in the District and points east. Overnight lows will fall into the 70s.
