Yesterday might have made it into the 90s for the fourth straight day - if only barely at 91 - but any resemblance to the previous three stifling days was only incidental.  With dewpoints dropping throughout the day, Saturday was a very comfortable summer's day.  With the high pressure responsible for that pleasant break now slowly moving offshore, look for a mostly sunny start to our Sunday, but with just a few more clouds a a bit more humidity this afternoon.  High temperatures will again be around 90.

Monday will be a transitional day as a cold front approaches. With more humid, unstable air, showers and thunderstorms are likely, especially to the south of the DC area.  In the wake of that front, some true relief from the heat will arrive.  Highs on Tuesday should be only in the upper 70s and only the low 80s on Wednesday.  The respite from the heat will be brief however, since mid to upper 90 degree readings are expected by week's end.  Enjoy your Sunday.
