Hot and humid weather will continue across the mid-Atlantic for the remainder of the afternoon and into the evening hours. Thunderstorms will develop and may become strong to severe with gusty winds, periods of heavy rain and frequent lightning. Highs on Sunday will be in the upper 90s to near 100 degrees with a chance for isolated afternoon storms.
