A HEAT ADVISORY goes into effect tomorrow at 11 AM and lasts through 9 PM tomorrow night. The heat and humidity combined will make it feel like 105° during the day.
It was another day of triple digit heat for parts of the Plains and Midwest. Here's where you can find some of the latest records across the country. Highs across our area made it into the 90s, but with still relatively low humidity, it didn't feel too oppressive. Get ready for that to change, though. Not only will temperatures climb into the upper 90s to low 100s for Friday and the weekend, the humidity will also be on the rise. Expect heat indices to be near 105° Friday and Saturday with heat advisories likely for Saturday, too.
Even with a broad area of high pressure overhead, storms aren't out of the question, especially during the afternoon and evening. Some storms could be on the strong side and could last into the nighttime hours. Keep up to date on our Live Super Doppler and our weather homepage for heat and storm alerts.
