D.C. Forecast: Severe Storms Possible Tonight
This Evening: Showers and Thunderstorms... Some Severe
Temperatures: 90s then 80s | Precipitation: 70%
Saturday: Becoming Partly Cloudy and Quite Warm, But Less Humid
Highs: Upper 80s | Wind: N 5-10 m.p.h.
Sunday: Partly Cloudy and Continued Quite Warm
Highs: Upper 80s | Wind: SW 5-10 m.p.h.
Heavy to occasionally severe thunderstorms are developing in very moist and unstable air across the region. These storms will continue to develop for the balance of the afternoon and then be augmented by more thunderstorms that are developing in a line across far western Maryland. This line is just ahead and along a cold front that will deliver slightly cooler but noticeably drier air to the region tomorrow and Sunday. A stronger cold front will bring more showers and storms on Monday and then be followed by somewhat cooler than average conditions for most of next week. I am looking forward to that.
