As a couple upper level weather disturbances cross our region today and tonight, skies will mainly cloudy and there will be scattered showers. Temperatures will remain below average with highs forecast into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. As we enjoy a fairly cool day, folks in the Midwest and Plains will swelter through another day of high heat. And guess what...that weather is heading here! Tomorrow will be a transition day as temperatures climb well into the 80s with periods of cloudiness and a few showers, On Wednesday though, skies will become sunny as high pressure starts to build off shore and pumps in the heat and some added humidity. Highs will reach the middle 90s on Wednesday and the upper 90s on Thursday. Heat indices will be above 100 degrees.
By Friday, a cold front will be approaching this area. Under partly cloudy skies, temperatures could reach the lower 90s before afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms arrive.
