With the cold front to the east of D.C., cooler and less humid air has been ushered back into the region.

This Afternoon: Mostly Sunny & Breezy

Breezy northerly winds are helping keep the region cooler than normal today with highs in the lower 80s. Humidity levels have also dropped dramatically since yesterday with dew points only in the 50s. Tonight will be partly cloudy and cool with lows in the upper 50s in the suburbs to mid 60s in town. Thursday will feature an easterly flow at the surface bringing with it the chance for added clouds. Highs should be in the upper 70s and sunshine is expected to break through the clouds by the afternoon.

The end of the work week into the weekend looks just about perfect. High pressure will make for sunny skies Friday with highs around 80 degrees. Saturday should reach the lower 80s and Sunday the mid 80s under mostly sunny skies each day. Heading to the beaches? First glance shows temperatures in the low to mid 70s each day under mostly sunny skies.
