EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH in effect for most of the area beginning on Friday morning. High temps approaching 100 degrees…Heat Index may approach 110 degrees at times………
An extremely hot and uncomfortably humid air mass will build across our area through Sunday. ( see Excessive Heat Watch above ) High temperatures will reach the lower 90s tomorrow but approach 100 degrees in spots on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be a chance for scattered thunderstorms on Friday but only a chance for an isolated thunderstorm or two on Saturday and Sunday. Nighttime temperatures will drop into the 70s but humidity levels will keep conditions rather uncomfortable overnight But at least it will be more bearable than during the daylight hours. Some relief will arrive with a cold front on Monday….a front that could bring scattered thunderstorms, as well.. Highs will drop into the lower 90s but not much lower than that through the middle of next week. Stay in close touch with us for an additional heat-related headlines, advisories or warnings.
