Get Ready! It is going to get uncomfortably hot and humid for a while. High pressure building off the coast will combine with high pressure building aloft and radpid warming will be the result. A few pieces of atmospheric energy caused a few early morning showers that moved from north to south across the region. Now, skies will  slowly brighten and temperatures will start climbing. Highs today will be in the middle 80s, with limited sunshine...closer to 90 degrees with more sunshine. Tomorrow and Thursday will be extremely hot and humid. Warnings or Advisories for the heat may be issued by the National Weather Service. Highs will reach the middle to upper 90s but feel even warmer because of the moisture content in the air. Isolated thunderstorms are possible later this afternoon and Thursday afternoon.

On Friday, highs will reach the lower 90s but relief may arrive in the form of more widespread showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon with the arrival of a cold front. Stay cool and hydrated.
