Monday was the last of the comfortable days around the region as high heat and humidity are en route! Yesterday Dulles Airport has a record low max (lowest ever high temperature for that day) when they peaked at only 69°! Morning clouds and even some patchy fog will give way to a partly cloudy and much warmer day. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s but it will feel like the 90s with the added humidity. There is about a 30% chance of a few storms to fire off, especially north and west of the city. Wednesday and Thursday will be all about the high heat and humidity as temperatures soars well into the mid and upper 90s making for heat index or “feels like” values around 105°. Advisories could be poster by mid-week. Try to stay cool and have a great day!

We get 14 hours 53 minutes of daylight today 14 hours and 54 minutes tomorrow through Saturday – and this will be the most we get all year. Sunday our hours of daylight begin to decrease.
