Light to moderate rain will continue to affect the D.C. area through the afternoon, dropping around a quarter to a half of an inch around the D.C. Metro area. Higher amounts will be likely to the north of D.C. Temperatures should reach near the 80 degree mark. Tonight, skies will clear and temperatures will fall into the 60s as a cold front moves through the region.
Wednesday will be partly cloudy, breezy and comfortable with highs around 80 degrees. An easterly component to the wind will help bring in added moisture on Thursday allowing for mostly cloudy skies and the potential for a few light showers or patches of drizzle. Temperatures should go back into the upper 70s.
Friday into the weekend looks nice with highs in the lower 80s each day under partly cloudy skies. With an area of high pressure expected to be to the northeast of our area, clouds may be possible in the morning hours but as of now are expected to disperse by the afternoon. We will keep you posted about any changes.
