While there has been more sunshine across the area today, there are more showers developing than there were yesterday at the same time. Some upper level energy is pushing across the mid-Atlantic and will continue to induce the development of more showers and isolated thunderstorms for the rest of the day. High pressure will take control of the weather pattern tomorrow and as a result, we do not expect any rain…rather sunny skies and warmer temperatures.
Over the weekend we are forecasting mostly sunny skies and noticeably warmer temperatures. We think the mercury will climb through the upper 80s on Saturday and reach or exceed the 90 degree mark on Sunday. On Sunday, humidity levels will be on the rise so it may become uncomfortably hot and humid for some.
